This half term our topic in Puffin class has been 'Myths and Legends'. We have learnt about different mythical creatures and created our own in outdoor learning. We learnt about mermaids and turned ourselves into some using sacks, hopping around the track. Also in outdoor learning we have been busy creating our own spider webs and weaving with different fabrics, we have built bridges out of different materials and tested if they worked and our favourite session was the campfire, where we melted marshmallows and chocolate and listened to a story!

We have had some exciting special guests in school that have helped us learn about how to look after ourselves and others.

In art, we have been looking at the Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama and how she used dots in repetitive patterns to represent infinity by creating our own versions of her infinity mirror rooms and pumpkin designs, even turning our classroom into a giant art installation!

Puffin class have enjoyed celebrating the different events we have had throughout school, such as the Macmillan Coffee Morning and our Halloween well-being day. What an exciting start to the year!
