Regulation at White Ash

 

White Ash Primary School are committed to supporting the emotional health and regulation needs of all our learners through a holistic approach that uses guidance and strategies, supported by research, from Emotion Coaching UK, a Trauma informed approach and Sensory processing. Both staff and pupils are supported by our regulation team to embed these strategies and support identified learners who may need a more personalised approach.   

 

As a school we continually strive to consolidate and broaden our own skills and knowledge, alongside recognising the diverse needs our learners present. In order to meet our commitment in providing the consistent and high standard support our learners need to achieve, we are about to begin our Thrive journey to provide the next step in our regulation support. In addition, planned for 2025-2026 we will be completing whole school training on trauma and attachment to begin the process of becoming a trauma informed school.
