Autumn 2
In the Autumn 2 term we continued our fantastic link with Stanhill Preschool. Each Friday, a small group of early years children walk to the preschool to develop their PSED and communication and language skills.
Oh what fun! Half of EYFS embarked on their first ever educational visit to Towneley park and a local pumpkin patch. The children explored autumnal seasonal change and then picked their very own pumpkins. They will be busy for the next few days carving pumpkins, washing pumpkins and exploring what’s inside!
The other half of EYFS went on a full day Educational Visit to Smithills Farm. The children met lots of different farm animals and listened to the different sounds they made. The children also enjoyed a tractor ride and playing on the park.
As part of understanding the world, the children have been exploring different celebrations. This week was Halloween week.

What a magical December we have had in EYFS. All of the children have participated in multiple Christmas celebrations with their peers and have had the most amazing time. Merry Christmas!
