Eagle class have been learning and exploring all about Our Garden. We have explored what we might see in the garden or outdoors e.g. trees, grass, flowers, birds, minibeasts etc. We have used lots of sensory, tactile items to explore within the lessons each week.
We have explored Our Garden using music, videos and art work to fully immerse ourselves into the topic.
Our English text has been 'Treasures in the Garden'. We have enjoyed this text using our imagination to explore the areas of the garden when the little boy Jake loses his teddy! Pupils have answered simple questions about the text, looked at what happens at the beginning, middle and end, identified items e.g. the teddy when asked and traced over and copied letters.
Our educational visit was to 'Worden Park' to explore the gardens and look for any plants and flowers that may be growing. We enjoyed our trip out although it was rainy! See pictures below...
