Eagle class have been learning and exploring all about Space. We loved this topic and had lots of fun!
We have explored Space using music, videos, art work and sensory lights to fully immerse ourselves into the topic.
Our English text has been 'Aliens love Underpants'. We have loved reading this book and being silly with the underpants. We have identified the characters in the book, matched objects to pictures and traced and copied key words from the story!
Our Science topic has been Materials. We have explored items made of Wood, Plastic and Metal. We sorted them according to their materials using hoops. See below for photos...
We also tested materials and tried to find the best material to be an umbrella for a teddy bear. We used pipettes and water to test paper, kitchen roll, foil, cling film etc to see what happened to each material when they got wet. We enjoyed using the scientific equipment and testing each materials. See below for photos...
Our educational visit was to 'Eureka' to explore the Space area. We also loved exploring all of the other variety of sensory and physical items to explore. We loved being so hands-on and practical with our learning! See pictures below from the day out...
