Welcome to Class 3!

Class 3 have been learning all about 'Great Britain' this half term.

Our English text is 'The Queen's Knickers'. We have enjoyed learning about the Queen and how to do a 'royal wave'. Within our Creative Drama session we have experienced/imagined going to London on the train with Paddington Bear. We have learn't about the Tower bridge, River Thames and London Eye and created artwork to represent these.

In Maths we have been learning about Time, to the hour or half past! Then we have been subtracting and taking away amounts using practical resources and our fingers to help us!

In Science, our topic has been 'Ready, Steady, Grow!'. We have grown broad bean seeds in food bags and stuck them to our window. We have watched them sprout and talked about what we could see and what has happened. We have also made some Cress heads using tights to grow our own cress. We then made egg and cress sandwiches as a class!

Class 3 have enjoyed their first educational visit to Clitheroe Castle. We loved looking at and exploring the castle grounds. We also explored the museum before going on the park. We had a great day!

Here is our Class timetable and Long Term Plan to see what we will be up to over the school year!
