Eagle class have been learning all about 'Space'. We have really enjoyed being creative with this topic. 

We have partnered up with Falcon Class and each Wednesday afternoon worked together in the hall to create lots of different artwork focusing on: The moon, planets, rockets, the stars etc. We have used role play to imagine getting onto our own rockets and flying to the moon each week using songs and props. We have all loved this! 

Our text has been 'Aliens love Underpants' focusing on the unit, 'Rhymes with pattern'. 

We have enjoyed reading and listening to this story each week. We have used lots of resources and props alongside the story to explore each part of the story. Activities relating to our story have been- matching objects from the text to a picture, matching picture to picture, identifying characters and beginning to trace over letters. 

In PE we have been focusing on Dance. We have used props such as pom poms, ribbons or scarves to allow pupils to move to different types of music when using props. We have explored upbeat music, classical music and rock music during our lessons. We have also used the 'tap sticks' to explore rhythm and beats. 

We have enjoyed NSPCC Number Day this half term. We enjoyed silly maths songs with props, designing maths t-shirts and lots of other maths activities.
