Communication
Communication underpins all our learning and therefore at White Ash, we are committed to providing a Total Communication environment. Total communication at White Ash School currently encompasses Makaton, PECS, vocal sounds and speech, facial expression, eye pointing, gesture, body language and body signs. With additional augmentative communication aids being used to support individual children as identified in their EHCP or individual speech programme from the SALT.
