Eco Schools

Eco-Schools is an international award programme that guides schools on their sustainable journey, providing a framework to help embed these principles into the heart of school life.

Our mission as an Eco school is to help bring about behaviour change in young people and those connected to them so that good habits learned in our schools are followed through into homes and communities.

All of the Eco activity in our school is driven by the children and our Eco committee in particular.  You can find out about some of the things we do by looking at photos from some of our events.

We will use this page to keep you up to date with Eco news and ways in which you can get involved.

Hannah and Darren run the Eco club with 10 very passionate students.

With the start of the school year, the Eco club are preparing and planning for what and how we can be Eco friendly throughout the year.

Stay tuned for Eco updates, we're going green!

What we got up to last year...

The 'Trashion' Show

The Eco Cub this year have been extremely busy. They wanted to complete a big project. After a group vote, it was decided that we would host a 'TRASHION SHOW'.

In May the Eco Club will be hosted their Trashion Show, showcasing everything reduced, reused and recycled. The team worked together to plan and prepare for the whole show.

Local schools, parents and governors attended.

The children made us proud and did an outstanding job.

One local school stated: '

We would just like to say thank-you so much for inviting us to your show last Friday. Mrs Richardson and our school council really enjoyed the show.

The school council came back and spoke to the rest of the class about what a wonderful show it was and how brilliant everything was.'

Stay tuned for our 2023/2024 plans.....
